Film and Digital Camera Simulator

| | Comments (1)

The SimCan is a very cool Film and Digital Camera Simulator that allows you to test out various apertures, shutter speeds, film speeds and camera shake and see the effects on actual photos. Wonder what f2.8 at 1/250 will look like? Have a look and see. Very cool tool.

I stopped using the adjustments when I found that I always landed with badly exposed or shaky ones. I have always chosen either the wrong lighting or the wrong focus and film. It was an unfulfilled desire to take a picture that would be appreciated by the connoisseur.

The Simcam simulation tries to teach by example the various aspects of focusing referred to f2.8 and shutter speed as referred to 1/250 seconds. The simulator gives us a chance to see the same picture, if taken selecting different stops.

What was till now elusive about these seems to have become clear and any amateur like me can now try adjusting the camera.

Is it possible to use one of our photographs in the sample and get them displayed using various stops?

Still how do we know when the light is right for a particular selection of focus or shutter speed stops?
